A specialized agency of the United Nations, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) released the infomation below on 18th March 2011. I still don’t know how long does it take to revive the country, but there is one thing which I know. I continue to work in this industry.
PRAY FOR JAPAN
NO RESTRICTIONS ON TRAVEL TO JAPAN
MONTRÉAL, 18 March 2011 International flight and maritime operations can continue normally into and out of Japan’s major airports and sea ports, excluding those damaged by the tsunami, according to the latest information available from the World Health Organization, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the World Meteorological Organization, the International Maritime Organization and the International Civil Aviation Organization.
While there is currently no medical basis for imposing restrictions, the United Nations organizations are monitoring the situation closely and will advise of any changes.
Screening for radiation of international passengers from Japan is not considered necessary at this time. Currently available information indicates that increased levels have been detected at some airports, but these do not represent any health risk.
Further information is available on the website of the World Health Organization: http://www.who.int/en/

I came back to Japan last July 2010 with high aspirations and expectations so as to work in the travel industry.
Thanks to my friends & exclients’ help in Singapore where I worked for 6 years, I had a lot of opportunities to travel Japan with overseas people. Besides that, I started this website just a month ago. I was so excited about the future. But this massive earthquake happened.
Life is sometimes unpredictable, dragging you into the unwanted directions.
Actually, this is not the first time to have such a feeling. I have experienced Hanshin Awaji Great Earthquake 1995 in the city of Kobe when I was 15 years old. My house was collapsed and KOBE was covered with a pile of rubble. It was not a good experience, but I learned one lesson from the earthquake.
Trying to look on the bright side of things.
However, at this moment, now matter how positive I become, I find it difficult to invite overseas people to come to Japan under this situation even if the whole of Japan was not devastated.
According to the statistics, it took 4 years for KOBE to reach the same number of tourists after the earthquake. It may take longer time this time to revive, but in the long span, Kobe revived for sure. Where there is life, there is hope.
I believe that Tohoku area will definitely revive again.
Pray for Japan.
